Columbus Township Fire & Rescue has launched a new Training Center that will offer various classes for those involved in, or wishing to become involved in, the realm of Public Safety. Whether volunteer or career, we welcome anyone to participate. Our classes are taught by certified instructors and you will gain both book knowledge and hands-on practical experience. The following courses are currently being offered at the Training Center. If there's a class that you're interested in but you don't see it listed, use the form below to let us know. Obtain your Indiana State EMT-B certification. This class will fulfill all learning requirements and prepare you for the state written exam and state practical skills test.

EMT-Basic - BRIDGE FROM EMR
This class is designed for those who currently hold the EMR certification and desire to obtain the EMT-B cert. This is a pilot class that will be the first of its kind in Indiana, and because of that it has some specific limitations for eligibility. Please read carefully before registering. This class is for students that currently hold an EMR certification that was obtained in a class sponsored by CRH (Columbus Regional Health). This includes classes taken through Ivy Tech in Columbus, Columbus Township Fire & Rescue Training Center, and Training Institute of Columbus. This class will fulfill all learning requirements and prepare you for the state written exam and state practical skills test.
